1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is ASYMETREE, a technology-based company (EBT) spun off from the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (IAS-CSIC), based in Córdoba, Spain. You can contact us at: info@asymetree.com.

2. Data we collect

Through the contact form we may collect the following personal data:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if you provide it voluntarily)
  • Province or region (if you provide it voluntarily)
  • Data about your farm: main crop, area, number of irrigation sectors and irrigation automation status
  • Message or enquiry sent through the contact form

In addition, the website stores certain technical browsing preferences locally in your browser (local storage or localStorage); this data is not transmitted to our servers.

When you browse the site, technical usage data (page visited, referrer, device and browser type, country) and on-page interaction (click areas and scroll depth) are also processed in an aggregated, anonymous way using a self-hosted measurement tool on our own servers, with no cookies or identifiers. This data cannot identify you.

3. Purposes and legal basis

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Handling enquiries and preparing proposals: answering the requests sent through the contact form and preparing a proposal tailored to your farm (consent of the data subject and pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b) GDPR). Submitting the form requires explicitly ticking the box accepting this policy.
  • Sending commercial information: only if you give us your express consent to do so.
  • Anonymous audience measurement: understanding how the website is used, in aggregate, in order to improve it, using a self-hosted cookieless tool that does not identify visitors (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Data retention

Data will be kept for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, for the periods required by law. Commercial contact data will be kept while an active relationship exists or until you request its erasure.

5. Disclosure to third parties

We do not disclose your personal data to third parties, except where required by law or where strictly necessary to provide the requested service (e.g. technology infrastructure providers acting as data processors under the corresponding data processing agreement).

6. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access: know which data we process about you.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: request the deletion of your data.
  • Objection and restriction: object to the processing or restrict it in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured format.
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw the consent given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise your rights, write to info@asymetree.com stating the right you wish to exercise. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

7. Cookies

This website only uses cookies and technical storage strictly necessary for the operation of the site. Audience measurement is performed with a self-hosted cookieless tool (Umami) on our own servers; we do not use third-party analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. See our cookie policy for details.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure, in accordance with the GDPR and applicable Spanish legislation.

9. Changes

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. Any relevant change will be announced on this page with a revised update date.
